Saviour or Saviour and Lord

The difference between a christian artist and an artist that are christian, lies in their relationship with God. Between Jesus being their Saviour and Jesus being their Saviour and Lord. Lordship demands total surrender to God's will. A life in all aspects, from doing your job to the intimate moments with your spouse, is to the glory of God. We are called to be a light to the world. Not in certain areas, but in all we do.

A new being. The keyword being "New". Something different from the old. Who are you trying to please? Yourself, mankind or God? Who's life force is in you? satan or GOD?

This question, this thought can be applied to all mankind and not just artists. We are in this world, but no longer off this world. I am not totally at that point yet; I am talking to myself as well. I haven't fully surrendered, as my life choices testifies about it. My inner secrets. My shameful moments. My unholy thoughts and desires.

Just because you made a choice, doesn't mean you have to stick to it. The beauty of choice is that you can made a different decision and turn away from previous decisions.

if i had a dream that fits both you and me, would it be a dream that are interesting
if i had a vision that would be pleasing, would you be sharing in it or leave it up to me
if i had a mil will i be fitting into your world, or do i just have to be me to be part of the pieces that make up your world
if i had your heart, would it be mine for keeps or until the next guy comes around
if i had the right words, would it melt your heart and draw you closer to me
if i do all the right things, would it be more than enough
if i had nothing, would you still love me
if i had to let you know, would you prefer in word or deed or both

but this is all ifs and i haven't even touch on maybe's, but this shouldn't be the case
so let me start with word and follow with deed
so that i will no longer have to ask the "if i had" questions
and always live with the "i had" statements
living a life that will have no more regrets

the pen missed me - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

i haven't picked up the pen for a while,
must be 'coz i haven't smiled in a while,
poetry is my language and voice in written form,
at times an escape from the storm.

i haven't written a poem for quite some time,
most of my latest works over the years had to rhyme,
lyrically flowing over one's lips,
being very careful not to trip.

rhythm and poetry an art form known as rap,
the type of music you won't play if you want to take a nap,
with an upbeat that will make you move you feet,
how powerful is a few words written on a piece of sheet.

this poem i wrote over a couple days,
where i normally would finish a piece the very same day,
must be that inspiration kicked in and then left,
but now i'm finishing off from where i've left.

let me rather conclude,
put another line here as a substitute,
replacing what actually want to say,
and share my heart on another distant day.

time to speak out - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

things i haven't said, i am saying now, things laying on my heart is about to come out, dreams that was so far hidden will be revealed, all the hurt and pain will be exposed and music about all of this will be composed, a poet's journey and his journal on the streets for all to see, no more hiding behind the scenes, the naked truth like ripping off the sheets, laying there vulnerable, grown man crying there's nothing honourable, a lie that comes from generation to generation, a real man don't cry, don't show his emotions

all these years the pen was my voice, the ink my emotions, putting what i feel on paper, hoping anyone can relate, poetry was always my platform, my stage, but at times the mic was taken out off my hands, and i've been silent and none knew what i really feel, walking around with a fake smile, drowning my sorrows in laughter

but it's time to speak out, taking back my voice, speaking the way i know, in written form

this is me coming back on the scene, expect more written word like these...

God Loves you; He really does!
If you don't believe it,
Come to us; we'll show you unconditional love,
the way He showed and taught us

God really love you; this is true,
you won't doubt if you know what we know,
ask those who never knew; but now know
you can see it in their eyes; their lives and just the way they glow

so, in closing,
but not the end though,

what I want you to comprehend
God love you show much His son died on a cross.
died, rose and ascended so that we can have eternity
an eternity with God, and not an eternity dying,
the choice is ours; live or death; Christ or the world,
make Him Lord and Saviour and have life eternal

Jesus is God's only begotten son and gave His life;
just for you and me to have eternity;
make that choice today; before it is too late;

we all have a date; a day set out to meet up with death;
and then cross over into eternity,

when you run away and don't know where to hide

start to compromise and believing all the lies

deep down inside you know something's not right

but things won't change until you take that step to fight

a dangerous place to be when you are alone at night

the enemy is so cunning you won't see him hiding

pulling all the strings of the people who seem to get to you so easily

they break you down, they hurt you so deeply

when gathering all your tears you will fill up the seas

oceans upon oceans of tears lasting a lifetime

you keep on fearing that no one will be hearing

so you put it all down on a piece of paper

hoping one day it will be read

and the world will be introduced and see you

and through your journals get to know the true you

the choices you make

will build or break

uplift or tear down

a dangerous and scary reality

but not everyone sees what we see

and they don't believe that it is real

but one day they will come to see

once they experience the consequences of choice

happiness isn't the goal but it's tempting though

going through life knowing your worth that's the power you need to know

when you experience the joy and see the lessons in the pain

that will bring about positive change

you know you will never be the same

leaving you thankful for the love you gain

in a world where money talks, fighting to be your lord, not even a battle much, coz most of us love money way too much, and give in way to easily, you see without it you cannot do anything, that's the believe, misconception, and we all buy into that lie, a doorway bringing us to the point of compromise, it is time that we open up our eyes, and see through all the enemy's lies, so cheap like mcdonald's french fries, but the veil in front of us are held up by the enemy and only he or someone mightier can rip it apart, so let me introduce you to he who loves us so much, that he has done something so uncomprehending, allowing his only begotten son to die for a world that hate him so much, through that act of love we can come to total freedom, but only through his son, yes i am talking about the God who placed everything in it's frame, made a world place humans on it, and breath life into a soil after forming it to a body, the 1st adam, and that 1st adam gave up his birthright, he walked with the most high but access denied after he stepped into the enemy's trap, one choice and he lost it all, but we all lost when adam felled, but thank God we can get that back, and we can come back, we have to make a choice and choose make Jesus lord, confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, so make that choice, to serve money and this world, or to serve the lord...

things that are true may not seem true, this world sees what it wants to, this world don't want to look in the mirror and see what is real, 'coz once they see what's underneath fear will kick in, and they will be left with a choice where there are consequences, life and death is set before them and they will have to choose, an eternity will be affected, and there will be no second time around, as sure as your feet hits the ground, as sure as the birds fly in the sky, as sure as there will be sunshine after rain, so real and more real are the one who made it all, and he will come to judge a world for all the choices made

i am here to tell you about a father who has mad love, a love so unreal for a people who are unworthy, undeserving, who will have to bow to a king, sooner or later, i will prefer now, 'coz now it will be to my king, 'coz later it will be to a judge who will cast down all who don't know him, so just have a look, look and see that you need him, you need a saviour to save you, we all are born with a ball and chain unseen to the natural, but spiritually we are dead and need cpr, let God breath in you, give you life, adopt you so you can become his child, part of the body of Christ, 'coz Jesus is the way, the truth and the life

i am sorry, but am i really, for actions they say speaks louder than words, words, what are they anyway if they don't have substance, the deeds that validates a man's word, the fruits of his tree not often easy to see, as fruits are not produced instantly, the lies of the enemy is only there to blind you, and always it will be so enticing, luring you to take a bite, and after the 1st bite there will be plenty more, because the one will not be enough, this is an appetite that cannot be satisfied, so change your meal plan, and come to the realisation of the underlining situation

i am sorry to say, but we are living in a world full of broken promises, compromises, lies, and a generation wanting what they believe is rightfully theirs, but if we really care, if we say we love them, then we must tell them the truth by showing it to them, our life and lifestyle the live show that they have automatically gain access to since the day of their birth, we only live once, there is no rehearsals, or second act, some of us are blessed to have the script rewritten, an ending of doom to an eternity of life with the giver of life, Jesus Christ, and there are those who has a second act, died but rose again by the grace of God, so much love this father has, He sent His only begotten son to die for a world unworthy, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life

so the truth is this, our right that we have, is to be out of the presence of God and burning in hell for eternity

and another truth is this, we do not have to end up there

so in closing, live a life that you want young ones to walking in the footprints you are leaving behind you

i'm not sorry to say, i love God!!!

easily judged - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

it is so easy to judge, i've fallen short in this area many of times. it is just sad that we want people to understand us, our circumstances and what we are going through. "if only they can face what i am facing; if only they will walk a mile in my shoes..."; but we are not willing to do the same for others.

i was reminded of a song called unborn child sung by an artist called 'the rep'. this is a very powerful message and a view point from a child who is about to be aborted.

my heart are breaking for all of the unborn children who was or who are about to be aborted. and also for the parents who is struggling with this decision. who are faced with a reality obscured by lies of the enemy. and also for those who plainly decided that they just don't want a kid, and decided to end a life.

how much more must God's heart be breaking right now; i might not know the statistics of how many children are being aborted; but even, just even one child is already one too many.

my prayer is that the ladies, and even fathers who went through this; will not remain in a lie that they are forever condemned. because God is not surprised by what they did, as He knew what will happen even before it does. This Loving Father who art in heaven, is so ready to forgive them, if only they would come to Him in repentance.

and i also pray for those who haven't gone through with it yet, that they will see other outcomes other than abortion; options like blessing those who so long to have children but cannot have; and there is many other solutions. They might even come to love the child as they carry the child to full term.

this was laid on my heart and i feel i had to share. please pray for them and be sure not to go into judge mode. for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, so that those who believes in Him, will not perish but have eternal life... nowhere is it written that He (God) only love those who only do 'small' sins; and also, there is no big or small sin, all sin is sin and leads to death.

we should not judge others because they sin differently than we do...

T.A.L.L. (Talk And Live Love)

We men are hunters - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

We men are the hunters, but most of us go into the jungle unprepared; because we weren't taught from our fathers, likewise our fathers from theirs and so forth.

We ourselves need to be satisfied, filled with nutrients and that which we need for our energy and well-being. We cannot expect that which we are hunting to play that role. You will be malnourished and will never be satisfied. You will also hunt that which you think you will need and end up not enjoying the process of hunting, because you might try to catch that which you aren't able to, and if you are successful in the catch, you will end up feeling discontent with what you hunted.

Ladies, you are the prey and not the hunters. A springbok wont stalk and attack a lion. You weren't created for that role. Your responsibility in this cycle of life, is to enjoy life, being content with who you are, and enjoy life in the field; until that faithful day when you are being hunted. At first you will play hard to get, running for dear life, but if the hunter is well skilled, he will end up catching you.

You need to be complete and whole as an individual and not with the help of the opposite sex. Two whole and complete individuals will make one complete and healthy relationship.

Once upon a time

another day wakey wakey alarm clock rude awakening, me tired sleepy dreaming lala land, please another minute of shut eye im so tired so i retire under my blanky, sleeping now like a baby my second alarm can't wake me, i have no choice but to get up i'm so fed up can't stand up, will power kick in, overdrive, the price of being a live the nine to five, not always doing what you love and so hard to love the thing you do, talking about work not making love, rushing to make it on time and then when you arrive counting down the time, now you among your peers colleagues working there for years counting down the years 'til retirement, is this the plot of our lives, days of our lives, repetition, day in day out the same thing, where's the adventure not fairytales or once upon a times, real life, living on the edge, bonnie and clyde, no need to be that dangerously living but at least do some living, doing something fulfilling only if you are willing, 'coz it may take away from you what you are so holding onto, make that sacrifice make that choice, end that cycle recycle and throw out the old to allow in the new, this accomplishment only achieved by a few, this is nothing new just new to you, if you lack the knowledge this lyrics are here to give you a clue hoping it will stick like glue, 1 2 3 i mean 3 2 1 another countdown, reaching the end, that's all folks, credit roll

what is it to be a woman, i wouldn't know, as i am a man, but what is it to honor them, respect them, show love to them, it all starts with a choice, a decision that will determine your behavior, your actions and every reaction, to treat them as they ought to be, doesn't require anything from them, what they do or may not do shouldn't be a factor, lift them up even if they are the cause of your heartache, motivate them even when they bring you down, they are or will become your better half, be kind, romantic, loving, and not just on specific days on a calendar that you are told to celebrate, but each and everyday for the rest of your days
