write a song for you - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

let me write a song for you
they can call it fake but we'll know it's true
what has hiphop done for you?
really now, com'on lets put it on a track or two
starting with lies exposed with words you can use
i'll even try to make it rhyme for you
not a typical lyrical flow left in a lot of clues
no cussing, so lets leave out one thing
if it is, let it be no cussing, the decision i'll leave up to you
a song from R18 to pg13 until lyrics for toddlers to the youth
a message i would let into the eardrums of my grandma too
so slim let me write this song for you
tell me your story the unwritten truth
i'll put it in a verse or two
i know this is something you yourself can do
but this is something i would like to do
you got mad skillz and no one can take that away from you
i believe i have a gift for writing and i would like to share it with you
Marshall, let me address you by your real name too
lets give these demons a scare so that they will run from you
i'm a praying man and i won't deny that truth
i believe in One True GOD who gave his son to die for me and you
i will declare Jesus' name and hopefully one day you will too
Jesus is Lord and no one else will do
Yeshua Messiah to whom all praise is due
so mr Mathers we can do a collab if you want to
even if i have to do a spoken word and you do you
but if nothing else, let me write a song that you could do
i won't sign your biggest fan, but i got mad respect for your talent dude
praying blessings over you and your family too
peace, joy and love
from this poet JePro, who's got a real name too
kind regards, Riaan Davids, just another poet who might remain unknown
but that's ok too

2014 taught me - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

2014 was a year of many lessons
and many confessions
a broken heart
from the very start
from the word go
but i had to learn to let go
many of nights of heartache and pain
but through all of this i've had a lot to gain
my lessons i've learned
not so easily earned
that i can make it through the rain
and my heart is stronger than the pain
the hell that i'm going through
isn't for me but for you
the ones that i can help through my experience
and i can only thank GOD for my strength and perseverance
i've learned that not even your own family can be trusted
that one member doesn't even know he has been busted
i had to deal with bitterness and pride
i never knew i had deep inside
i've learned the strength of forgiveness
learning to forgive and to ask for forgiveness
the healing power that those words bring
setting both parties free
there's a whole lot more lessons i could put in
but the biggest of them all was learning to be me

To: Amy - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

You’re like a pearl in an oyster
Not easy to find but worth all the search
In the deep blue sees laid on the ocean bed
There’s where one will find you
And even if I have to swim all the way under
With no protective gear and oxygen tank
I’ll still make that journey
Coz a treasure like you
Is worth facing extreme obstacles

You’re the essence of fairy-tales
And the reason for poets
You’re the indescribable life force
Inspiring me to write
That which my heart feels
And my mind still tries to comprehend

Amy Biggs... I Feel It In My Fingers - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

Angels have nothing on you
Mankind can’t touch you
You’re one of a kind and I feel for you

Butterflies are jealous of you, and in a way
Inspired too
God’s Blessings is overflowing you
God’s Love is protecting you
So I know your special, coz God’s hands created you

If I had you my life would be different too

Falling in love with you wasn’t planned
Experiencing what I feel isn’t a demand
Explaining all this is accompanied by fear
Letting you know is the idea

I can write it down, or
Talk it out

In away
Not holding out

Me for you
You for me

Finding peace
In what is real
New beginnings
Greater meanings
Especially in Love so rare
Reaching for the impossible for someone you care
Solely to make them smile just by being there

If Tomorrow Never Comes - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

In case of my absence
Find the truth in this poem’s presence

The reality of my state of mind
Overwhelming feelings in my heart you shall find
Mesmerized by your image alone
Only Love from this poem will glow
Rivers of Love will overflow
Realizing my thoughts should be made known
On each and every occasion my feelings should be shown
With no regrets I should leave this earthly home

Never before I felt this way
Each emotion knowing its place
Vividly expressing myself in the way I know best
Emotions that’s unstoppable
Reaching out just to let you know

Communicating my feelings is a must
On a piece of paper I must entrust
Making it clear in case I’m no longer there
Each and everyday this poem will echo
Something my heart wouldn’t be able

Girl next door - Riaan 'JePro' Davids

What I want
What I look for
Cannot be found in a club or at a liquor store
What I seek
What I desire
Can be found in the girl next door
She might just be a figment of my imagination
A girl in my dreams
Fiction dreamt up
Or she might just be real
Somewhere out there in this great big world
Or who knows, she might just literally be the girl next door
But once I find her
I will make it known
That she will be the girl I adore
And I won't ask for more
'Coz what else can I ask for?
She will be Pure of heart
A Beautiful soul
Inner-Beauty that can brighten up this world
A Kind and Loving spirit
Trustworthy and Loyal
So really? What more can I ask for?
When I am the recipient of her Love that overflows
So you won't find me in a club or at a liquor store
'Coz what I want and look for
Is a girl that are looking after her body
A girl that's keeping herself for her one true love
She's the girl, my girl next door
